Relief map decoration

I decided to make some maps, basically just to give myself an excuse to make something that looks like a scroll. Since I alsways liked relief maps, I decided to make one, depicting Chalkidiki, a well known tourist area near my house:

It turns out that the “scroll effect” is relatively easy to make. Just spread the clay on a large glass or other cylindrical container and draw/add clay from that point.
In order to fold the “scroll” you can just fold it by hand when it’s still relatively wet. Don’t worry about minor breakage, as this might even add to the item’s “character” giving it an “old” look.
